Angela Posted?

Wow, that's new. That hasn't happened in a while.

So anyway, what to talk about? Oh yeah....

I played Persona today. For those of you who don't know, it's a game for the original Playstation. The basic idea is that this group of kids accidentally performs a summoning ritual for a bunch of demons, which separates the town off from the rest of the world, but also gives them the ability to summon aspects of their own personalities (the eponymous personas) to inflict massive damage. And that's about as far as I got. You see, when the demons hit, you're in a hospital, visiting your friend (who might also be psychic). Here's where the problems in the game first arise. First of all, the controls ARE TERRIBLE for this. I always end up turning around in circles. Second of all, WHAT SORT OF RETARDED ARCHITECT PUTS THE STAIRS GOING UP AND THE STAIRS GOING DOWN ON OPPOSITE SIDES OF THE BUILDING. WHY WOULD ANYONE DO THAT. So I ended up walking around in circles for a good while, and of course, monsters were jumping out at me every few seconds. Which takes me to my second complaint. The menu system was terrible. None of the idiotic people traipsing around with me would ever end up doing what I wanted them to do. And of course, the menus took forever to navigate, leading me to give up in frustration.

So then I played Final Fantasy Seven. It was a lot better.

So...

I've been bad about posting on this blog. I've just been busy, and well, haven't really had anything to post.
School is pretty interesting though. Will and I don't go to the same school, so we don't discuss this blog that much. I'm surprsingingly liking high school pretty well. Only issue is the crowded hallways. But that's really nothing new.

Totally Back For Reals This Time

Oh. It's you.

Why do I keep making these references? None of you get them.

Anyway, I'm back. Despite your best hopes to get rid of me. Nothing much to say about the camp that I didn't expect in my previous post. The comedy was a big success; everyone loved it (and even LAUGHED). Well, I have no idea what to put here, to be honest. I'm just posting because I've managed to neglect it for a good while. Hrm. Any new developments on this end will be duly noted and maybe even posted on here. Who knows?

I wanna go hoooooommmmme...

And yet another Beach Boys' reference.

Okay, so this trip really isn't that bad. But given that it's a family trip, with my family, you can be sure it's not the best.
Maybe I just overestimated things from being on the DC trip... I don't know. Maybe I just prefer vacation with friends than family.
That said, we did have a pretty good time. We stayed in the mountains in Colorado for a few days, where I got to babysit...
Yay.
Anyway, we are now in Santa Fe, NEW MEXICO (TWISTYCOUGH) and my mom really wants to go to spa. Great.
Earlier today, we went to the Royal Gorge, which was a complete rip off. It's supposed to be the tallest suspension bridge. Hooray...
But it was $25 PP!! To go over a bridge! And see a petting zoo, but really, who cares about petting zoos?
My dad and I didn't even go through. Instead, we  met some Belgian people and took pictures of the view of the bridge, which, according to my mom and brother, must have been a lot better than the actual thing. And we found some HUGE pieces of mica. Pretty cool.
We'll be going to the Grand Canyon soon, which will hopefully live up to (our) expectations. Until then...

Back and then Gone

Well, it's been a crazy summer so far. The literal MINUTE school was out, I was on the road to Disney and Universal down in Orlando. And if you haven't been to the Harry Potter Theme Park yet, GO. RIGHT NOW. Seriously, BEST FEW DAYS EVER. Butterbeer, giant platters of chicken and ribs at the Three Broomsticks, rocking rollercoasters (not to be confused with the Rock-N-Rollercoaster, which is completely different). But the best part BY FAR was going inside Ollivander's Wand Shop. OH MY GOD. YES. SO MANY WANDS. They had a section with a bunch of wands made to look like the wands of people from the books (or, in this case, movies), but that wasn't even the best part. They had a section where you told them an important date in your life. They then found out which month of the Celtic calendar your date was in. And based on that, they assigned you a wand. My date was my birthday (March 19), which put me in the month of Fearn the Alder. For those of you who don't know Celtic mythology, this is the third month of the lunar year. It is a fire moon, seeing as Fearn is (and I quote) "the very battle witch of the woods". All this leads my up to my point. If you thought what it represents was awesome, you'll love this.

My wand is a SNAKE. I DO NOT KID. THE LITERAL BODY OF MY WAND IS A SNAKE.

WRAPPED AROUND A SKELETON.

HOLY GOD YES.

So yeah, awesome.

Then I got back and had to take summer health and gym. At least now I never have to take gym class again. EPIC WIN.

And now, after just having gotten back, I have to go again. Where? CAMPPPP. It's called VAMPY. NO it doesn't have anything to do with vampires. ಠ_ಠ

Basically I stay on WKU's campus (they're the ones with the giant red thing as their mascot, colloquially known as the Schmoe) for three weeks, while taking a course their. The one I'm in this year is some materials science thing. I don't know what it means, but I GET TO USE AN ELECTRON MICROSCOPE! WOOOOOO.

And there's other fun stuff like a 4th of July cookout, a big convention dubbed VCon, where much fun is had. But my favorite part is the talent show. Why? Because I get to do my STAND UP COMEDY ROUTINE.

But wait, you may be saying. Will, you're not even that funny!

SHUT UP.

I'll have you know, you little PRICK that I had the entire audience in STITCHES by the time it was over. People who had been mocking me like you are right now were saying afterwards (and I quote) "Will! You really can do stand up!" I had the ADMINISTRATORS coming up to me and saying how well timed my jokes were. SO JUST BE QUIET.

That outburst aside, it's always pretty fun. I've been working on some jokes for it for a while, and I think I have some good ones. Last year, topics included a partionally fabricated account of getting broken up with, (She said I ate like a pig, smelled horrible, and she couldn't stand to be around me. I know, right? I don't eat that much.) a rant about stairs, and a story about a friend who couldn't work a washing machine.

So, yeah. That's about all I have to say right now. I don't know if I'll be able to post anything on here at VAMPY, but I sure will try.

Slán go fóill!
